Agnes “Jane†Anderson, 97, of Missoula, Montana, and formerly of Mishawaka, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015.
Jane was born July 2, 1917 in Mishawaka, the daughter of the late Ralph and Henrietta (Bickel) Howland. She was a graduate of Mishawaka High School. She resided most of her life in Mishawaka and in recent years lived with her daughter in Missoula, Montana.
Jane was employed for 37 years at Uniroyal in Mishawaka, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Uniroyal Ladies Club.
On November 20, 1941, Jane married Stanley D. Anderson and he preceded her in death in 1962. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Bernard Howland.
Jane’s surviving family includes her daughter, Susan M. Freeland and her husband Charles of Missoula; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 11, in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. John Eze officiating. Private burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
There will be a time of visitation from 12:30 - 1:30 pm on Saturday in the funeral home.
