Allen J. Millican, 85, of Mishawaka, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in IU Goshen Hospital.
Allen was born December 23, 1929 in Garden City, Alabama, to the late Henry and Levie (Faile) Millican. He was a graduate of Hanceville High School. Allen served his country in the US Army from 1948 to 1952. On May 2, 1952 in Tupelo, Mississippi, he married Faraba (Moore) Corcoran. In 1977 they moved to Mishawaka from Kansas.
In Kansas, Allen was employed in Civil Service at Fort Riley. In Mishawaka, he managed Pangford Motel on McKinley Avenue. Allen was a member of First Baptist Church in Mishawaka. He was a life member of the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.
Allen is survived by two step grandchildren, Pamela Christiansen and Steven Young; and a sister, Lozell Ausman.
Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Faraba; a step daughter, Patricia Young; and three sisters and three brothers.
Services will be held Friday at 1 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with Pastor Peter Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Visitation is Friday from Noon - 1 pm in the funeral home
