Angela M. Weber, 92, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 14, 2021, surrounded by her family in the home of her son, Tim.

Angie was born March 22, 1929 in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late Arthur and Augusta (DeWinter) Steenbeke. Except in recent years, she spent her whole life in Mishawaka. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in South Bend.

Angie married Ralph Weber on March 30, 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1972. She was also preceded in death by sons, Larry and Richard “Rick” Weber; three sisters, Rosemary (Tom) Kamerer, Dorothy (Ernie) Varda and Joanne (John) Kloski; and two brothers, Bill and Arthur (Lois) Steenbeke.

Angie is survived by four children, Becky (Jim) Holbert, Sharon Wiley, Tim (Mary) Weber and Pam (John) Heckman; eleven grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Marsic and Nancy (Dale) Dakins; and three brothers, Thomas Steenbeke, John (Linda) Steenbeke and Joseph (Geri) Steenbeke.

Over the years, Angie’s employment included Robertson’s Department Store, St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka and Deco-Art. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka where she was a Eucharistic Minister, sang in the choir, was a member of the Rosary Society, volunteered at the school and was a member of the Home and School Association. Angie was a member of Cursillo and Christ Renews His Parish. She also worked in housekeeping at St. Joseph Rectory for Monsignor Suelzer. She enjoyed making crafts, camping, embroidery, knitting, painting, cooking and genealogy.

Angie’s family would like to express special thanks to Interim Home Care, Senior Helpers and Heart to Heart Hospice for the wonderful care she received.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 20, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Christopher Lapp officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:30 pm on Wednesday in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Church or Heart to Heart Hospice.
