Ann Marie Willing

Ann Marie (nee: Kronewitter) Willing, 81, of Crystal Falls, MI passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at the Marshfield Hospital in Weston, WI.  Ann was born in Mishawaka, IN to the late Ronald and Lauretta (nee: Sammet) Kronewitter.

In May 1964, Ann married the love of her life, Robert Willing of Racine, WI.

Ann attended St. Joseph Grade School (Mishawaka), St. Joseph High School (South Bend), earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Alverno College (Milwaukee, WI), and her Master’s from National Lewis University (Chicago, IL).  She enjoyed teaching second grade and kindergarten, and taught reading and math in the Title I program with at-risk students.  Prior to her marriage she taught in Mishawaka, IN and after taking time off to raise her four children she returned to teaching and taught in the Rockford, IL school district.

Ann was a devout Catholic and was a very dedicated and loving wife and mother.  She was always there for her family, giving them her support and encouragement.  She enjoyed her many crafts: sewing – clothes for her children and grandchildren, household items, and quilting; needlework; knitting and crocheting; and ceramics.  She was a wonderful cook and baker, she always made sure her family had a home cooked meal and we sat down for dinner together.

Ann is survived by her loving children, Mariann (Jeff) Gallun, Michael (Noriko) Willing, Theresa Pollack, and Steven (Amie) Willing.  She is further survived by her sister and brother-in-law Cecelia (nee: Kronewitter) (Sam) Kramer; grandchildren, Michael Gallun, Timothy Willing, Astin and Evan Pollack, and Drew, Abby, Mason, and Megan Willing, as well as a niece, nephews, great-nieces, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years; her loving parents; an infant sister, Mary; and an infant brother, Thomas.

A joint Mass of Christian Burial for Ann and her husband, Robert will be celebrated at 11:00 am EST on Friday, February 11, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka. Burial will follow in St Joseph Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Memorials may be made in the name of her husband, Robert Willing to American Parkinson Disease Association.
