Billy W. Uland, 65, of Mishawaka, passed away Friday morning, August 19, 2011 in his home.
Billy was born July 19, 1946 in Searcy, Arkansas, a son of the late Herman and Mildred (Bogard) Uland. He grew up in Mishawaka and Memphis, Tennessee. He returned to Mishawaka to live in 1998.
Billy served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Nyloncraft in Mishawaka and in security at the University of Notre Dame. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Towards Education).
Billy’s surviving family includes two sons, Scott (Kate) Uland and Jason Uland and two grandchildren, Zachary and Sophia Uland all of Portland, Oregon.
Private burial has taken place in Welcome Home Cemetery near Des Arc, Arkansas.
Cremation arrangements were in the care of Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka.
