Brandon M. Roth Profile Photo

Brandon M. Roth, 40, of South Bend, lost his brave fight with cancer on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, with family by his side. He was born September 26, 1984, in South Bend to Louis Roth and Theresa (Bruegel) Trensey, and later married his best friend, Nicole Makepeace, on August 4, 2004.

Nicole survives along with their children, Savanna (Brocton) Szuba of Nappanee, Angelina (Kyle) Osborne of Goshen, Elijah, and Neveah Roth, both of South Bend. Surviving also are Brandon’s parents, Louis “Louie” (Laura) Hammonds Roth of Memphis, TN, and Theresa (Tom) Trensey of South Bend, along with his siblings, Melissa Rodgers, Christopher Trensey, Christina Roth, Zachary Trensey, Nate and Nick Hammonds, Mary Mason, and Jacob Roth. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jessica Trensey, and brother, Louis Roth, Jr.

Brandon was the cornerstone of his family and community. As a proud “sanitation relocation specialist” with Republic Services, he served as both a supervisor and driver for over a decade. Selfless and kind-hearted, Brandon never hesitated to help others, always giving his best without question. He never met a stranger and eagerly shared his faith and love for Jesus with everyone he encountered. He also loved fishing, both in the water and in his mission to be a fisher of men, sharing the gospel and leading others to Christ. A devoted fan of Notre Dame and the Miami Dolphins, he loved talking sports and sharing his enthusiasm for his favorite teams. A natural mediator and encourager, Brandon brought people together and was the life of any gathering. He had a passion for entertaining—whether cooking, putting on spectacular firework displays, or simply creating cherished memories with family and friends. Brandon’s presence, warmth, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Following Brandon’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a time to visit with family and friends, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 5-7pm at Cornerstone Church, Mishawaka, with a service beginning at 7pm. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Cornerstone Church to be gifted to the youth ministry and a special cancer support group that Brandon had begun.
