Carol Anne Pietraszewski

Carol Anne Pietraszewski, 76, of South Bend, passed away Tuesday evening, October 9, 2012, in Rivercrest Specialty Hospital, Mishawaka.
Carol was born December 13, 1935 in Winslow, Indiana, a daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn (Bolin) Vogel. She grew up in South Bend and made the community her life-long home.
Carol worked in home health care as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed reading. She was talented at sewing and knitting and made many gifts for her family.
Carol’s surviving family includes four children, Carrie (James) Ansley of Texas, Charles (Cindy) Perry of Texas, Julie Maxwell of South Bend and Jessica Pietraszewski of South Bend; five grandchildren, Brian, Jonathan, Cole, Clayton and Joseph; four great grandchildren, Jeremy, Ryder, Brodie and Chandler; a brother, John Vogel; and sisters, Amy Renner and Melissa Vrudny.
Besides her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn “Charlene†Tipton.
Following Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public services.
