David Earl Bronson, 74, of Mishawaka, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wakarusa.
Dave was born September 25, 1946 in Independence, Missouri, to the late Cecil L. and Virginia Ruth (Frazier) Bronson. He grew up in Missouri and was a 1964 graduate of Van Horn High School. Dave graduated from Potomac State Tech College in West Virginia and University of Missouri, earning Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. He moved to Mishawaka in the mid 1980’s.
Dave was employed as a computer programmer for the Associates. He was a long-time member of the Mishawaka Kiwanis Club. Dave liked working on the computer and at one time enjoyed skiing. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame football and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Dave married Barbara S. Takerer on June 21, 1996. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barb; three sons, Matthew (Joan) Bronson, Mark Bronson and Adam Bronson; two step children, Pamela (Ben) James and Ronald A. (Heather) Clark; seven grandchildren; a brother, Frazier (Helen) Bronson; a sister, Brenda (Tom) Walker; and Dave’s beloved dogs, Raspberry and Jonah.
A private family graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Memorials are suggested to SouthernCare Hospice or Pet Refuge.
Arrangements are under the care of Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, Mishawaka.
