Gerald "Jerry" Felt

Gerald L. “Jerry” Felt, 75, of South Bend, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Jerry was born March 1, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Herbert and Olga (Piira) Felt. He moved to Mishawaka with his family in 1962 and remained in the area ever since.

Jerry has been employed at Logan Industries and Bright Electric doing handyman type work. He loved sports and enjoyed bowling as well as watching wrestling and baseball. Jerry also liked fishing, airplane and car models and watching airplanes take off and land.

Jerry’s surviving family includes his brother, Earl (Marion) Felt of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, nieces and nephews, a large group of friends including his special friend, Judy, as well as the staff at Anthony Wayne Services and Logan Community Resources.

Jerry was preceded in death by his two sisters, Diane Wezeman and Lynn Pawlowski.

Services honoring Jerry’s life will be held Wednesday at 1 pm in the church chapel at the Montessori School, corner of Eddy and Jefferson, in South Bend. Linda VanDyke will officiate at the service.

Visitation will take place Wednesday from 10 am - 11 am in GOETHALS & WELLS Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka.

Private burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
