Gerald J. Hull, 79, of Mishawaka, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at home after a courageous 8 month battle with prostate and bone cancer.

“Jerry” was born February 12, 1938 in Mishawaka, a son of the late Howard J. Hull, Sr. and Berneta (Hardy) Hull. He was a 1956 graduate of Mishawaka High School. He served his country in the US Army from 1961 - 1964.

Jerry married Pamela A. Pritts on June 22, 1968 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka. The couple made Mishawaka their home.

Jerry was employed at Kroger’s for 36 years and for many of those years was Produce Manager. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and at one time served on the St. Joseph School Board and was President of the Home and School Association. He enjoyed traveling and faithfully attended his grandchildren’s many sporting activities.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pam; two children, Cindi Baumgartner and Tim Hull; four grandchildren, Alec Baumgartner (fiancé Karissa Light), Ashton Baumgartner, Shea Hull and Trevor Hull; brothers-in-law, Phil Pritts and Pat (Connie) Pritts; and a sister-in-law, Lisa Hull.

Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Howard J. Hull, Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 am Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Christopher Lapp as celebrant. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Visitation is from 4 – 8 pm Friday in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
