Geraldine “Sherry” Chrzanowski, 85, of South Bend, passed away Thursday evening, November 26, 2015, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.

Sherry was born July 11, 1930 in South Bend, a daughter of the late David and Lottie (Zmudzynski) Arpasi. She was a graduate of Washington High School. On November 19, 1966 she married Eugene “Gene” J. Chrzanowski.

Sherry lived most of her life in South Bend. Sherry and Gene lived 19 years in San LeAndro, California where they were apartment managers.

Sherry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka, American Legion Post #357Auxiliary and Mother Cabrini Society. She enjoyed gambling and was very fond of dogs.

Sherry’s surviving family includes a son, Daniel (Linda) Wojciechowski, Jr. of Mishawaka; a daughter, Debbra (Charles) Lambie of South Bend; six grandchildren, Jennifer Wojciechowski (Christy) Swope, Daniel (Kristi) Wojciechowski, III, Lisa Troup, Laurie (Jason) Komlac, Lisa Logan and Billy Lambie; ten great grandchildren; and a sister Evelyn Bencis of South Bend.

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; a brother, David Arpasi; a sister, Annette DeLater; and a grandson, Chad Lambie.

Friends may spend time with Sherry’s family Monday, November 30, from 11 am - 1 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka. .

The Rosary will be prayed Monday at 1 pm and a funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home. Rev. Terry Fisher will be officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
