Gordon L. Sipocz, 70, of Mishawaka, passed away Friday afternoon, December 31, 2021. Born in South Bend on March 6, 1951, to Joseph S. Sipocz and Barbara (Orosz) Sipocz, Gordon resided in Mishawaka most of his life. Gordon met his wife, Joanne (Osmanski), February 11, 1978. After 14 months of dating, they married on April 28, 1979, in Mishawaka. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents and youngest son, Christopher. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joanne; sons Matthew (Ashley) of Mishawaka; Daniel (Jessica) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Emily and Aubrey of Mishawaka; and sister, Chris (John) West of Florida.

Gordon was dedicated to his family. He worked tirelessly as a screen printer and ensured many family vacations to the beach and Disney World. He loved keeping busy outdoors, tending to his garden and taking pride in his lawn. Gordon had a lifelong interest in NASA and space, often watching early morning Space Shuttle and rocket launches. He was a proud member of the Dodge Challengers of Michiana and loved showing off his Dodge Challenger nearly as much as he loved spending time with his beloved grandchildren and pranking them.

Services honoring Gordon’s life will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 7, 2022, in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with Pastor John Contreras officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday in the funeral home.
