Jack I. Crandell, 84, of Mishawaka, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
Jack was born April 19, 1927 in South Bend, a son of the late Irvin and Betty (Stump) Crandell.
Jack served his country in the US Navy and the Army National Guard.
Jack was a Master Tile Setter who owned his own business and tiled many homes and businesses in the area. He retired from the Associates. Jack was a member of VFW Post #360. He was a Cootie.
Being an only child, Jack is remembered by his four loving daughters, Susan (Ted) Leach of Mishawaka, Nancy (Ken) Finch of Osceola, Annette Lynch of Mishawaka, and Jackie (Bruce) Horein of Wakarusa; 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. His family looks forward to reuniting with him in heaven.
Friends may spend time with Jack’s family Thursday, November 3, from 6 - 8 pm and Friday from 10 - 11 am in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 West 3rd Street, Mishawaka.
Services will be held Friday at 11 am in the funeral home with Pastor David Miller of First Baptist Church of Mishawaka officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
