Joyce M. Chamberlin, 75, of Mishawaka, passed away Friday at Hospice House, South Bend.
Joyce was born August 24, 1942 in Niles, a daughter of the late Elmer Ruthsatz, D.D.S. and Stella (Grynwich) Ruthsatz. She grew up in Niles and attended St. Joseph Catholic High School in South Bend. She graduated from Vogue Beauty College.
Joyce married Warren Chamberlin in September of 1974 and the couple made Mishawaka their home. She was employed for 10 years at Foret Plastics in Niles. Joyce was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Mishawaka. She enjoyed collecting religious items, especially Rosaries. She also collected dolls.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 43 years, Warren; her twin brother, John (Kathy) Ruthsatz; a sister, Patricia (Bill) LaBre; nephews and nieces, Sgt. Major Raymond Reyes, Stella Reyes, Rosemary Arcila, Susan Shepich, Sandy Hand, Rocky Ruthsatz, Jennifer Nottingham and Robert LaBre.
Joyce was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Reyes; and a brother, Thomas Ruthsatz.
Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 am Wednesday, November 29, in St. Monica Catholic Church, 222 W. Mishawaka Ave., Mishawaka, with Rev. Jacob Meyer as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 – 7 pm Tuesday, November 28, in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, and also from 9:30 – 10:30 am Wednesday in church.
