Margaret B. Ransberger, 87, of Mishawaka, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 24, 2012, in Caring Junction.

Margaret was born June 26, 1925 in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late William and Matilda (Klein) Bokhart.

Margaret married Richard E. “Dick” Ransberger on May 10, 1947 in St. Bavo Church in Mishawaka. The couple made Mishawaka their home where they raised their family.

Margaret was a homemaker and was employed for a few years at Ball Band prior to marriage. She was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church. She enjoyed walking, bowling, fishing and flower gardening.

Margaret’s surviving family includes her four sons, Richard (Connie) Ransberger of Litchfield Park, Arizona, John Ransberger of Niles, Michigan, Bryan Ransberger of Mishawaka and Anthony (Shari) Ransberger of White Pigeon, Michigan; four sisters, Mary Ann (Bud) Scheibelhut, Christine Berry, Augusta (Art) Gilman and Betty (Gilbert) Jennings; a sister-in-law, Nan Bokhart; six grandchildren, Sean, Nicole, Kristopher, Ritchie, Kelley and Lesley; and four great grandchildren, Allyson, Alex, Morgan and Kameron.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Dick in 2006; two brothers, Ernie Bokhart and William Bokhart; a grandson, Stephen Ransberger; and a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Ransberger.

Friends may spend time with Margaret’s family Sunday, July 29, from 4 - 7 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 30, at 10 am in St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Margaret’s family suggests memorial contributions be given to Caring Junction or Southerncare Hospice. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
