Marjorie Ann Town, 80, of Mishawaka, passed away Monday morning, February 29, 2016 in Cape Coral Hospital, Cape Coral, Florida.
Margie was born November 13, 1935 in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late Cleon and Marjorie (Day) Miner. She was a 1954 graduate of Mishawaka High School. She was a life-long Mishawaka resident and wintered for many years in Florida.
Margie was a homemaker and ran a children’s day care for many years. She was a member of East United Methodist Church in Mishawaka and their United Methodist Women. Margie belonged to the Mishawaka Alumni Association and also the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing cards.
Margie’s surviving family includes three daughters, Jody (Phil) Levin of South Carolina, Kelly (Randy) Terrill of Niles and Patti Armbruster of Florida; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a sister, Lynn (George) Brandt of Mishawaka; and Margie’s long-time companion, George David Proctor.
Margie was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Dodson.
Services honoring Marjorie Town’s life will be held Friday, March 4, at 11 am in East United Methodist Church, 1621 East 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with Pastor Scott Taylor officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Visitation is Thursday, March 3, from 6 - 8 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, and on Friday from 10 - 11 am in the church..
