Mary K. (Nablo) Tessely Eberlein, 71, of Mishawaka, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014, in Elkhart Hospice House.
Mary was born October 21, 1942 in Michigan City, Indiana, a daughter of the late Leland and Udell (Dant) Nablo. She grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Michigan City and moved to South Bend following graduation from St. Mary’s High School in Michigan City. She later moved to Mishawaka.
Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for children in her home. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka. In high school she belonged to the St. Mary’s Sodality and the choir.
Family was a very important part of Mary’s life. Her surviving family includes her sons, Robert C. Tessely and daughter-in-law, Barbara and Joseph W. Tessely and wife, Misty; step-son, Stephen Eberlein; four grandchildren, Caleb J., Branden R., Peyton R. and Emma C. Tessely; a brother, David (Raynell) Holtz; and a sister, Susan (George) Cole.
Mary was preceded in death by her former husbands, Richard Tessely and Bernard Eberlein.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Terry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
There will be no pubic visitation.
