Mary Lou Morin, 91, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in King Bruwaert House in Burr Ridge, Illinois.

Mary Lou was born and raised in Mishawaka.  She graduated from Mishawaka High School and Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. She was a pharmacist until she was blessed with the first of her nine children. A statement Mary Lou made frequently was that the crowning achievement of her life was the family she created with her loving husband Paul. She was a lifelong parishioner at St. Monica Church, where her parents were founding members. She volunteered for years and countless hours at both the school and church. She and many of her dear friends from the Rosary Society Circle continued to meet monthly until recently. Mary Lou was an avid sports fan, especially when Notre Dame was involved in the competition. Her skills as a hostess were well known, and she acted as a resource for anyone in need. She will truly be missed by all those who knew her.

Mary Lou’s surviving family includes her eight children and 19 grandchildren: Paul Morin, Jr. of Lake Oswego, OR; Robert (Jean) Morin of Glen Allen, VA and children Bob, Sara, Emma and Abbi; Monica (Terry) Toth of Hinsdale, IL and children Carolyn and Annalise; Michele Ahern of Cambridge, MA and daughter Lily; Maureen (Jim) Ni of Issaquah, WA and children Katy, Libby and Grace; Chris (Tom) Sayers of Seattle, WA and sons Paul and Danny; Kathy (Mike) Brennan of Elmhurst, IL and children Callie, Sam, Greta and Johnny; Bridget (Frank) Salmick of Sammamish, WA and children Frank, Lucy and Jack.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, a daughter, Denise Rose Morin, a grandson, Robert Morin, and brothers, Lucian and Thomas Philion.
