Matthew Scott Walsh, 34, of Granger, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at home.
Matthew, known to many as “Matty” or “Matt” was born September 2, 1984 in Mishawaka to Edward and Paula (Yeakey) Walsh, Sr. He grew up in Granger and lived there his entire life.
Matthew was employed as a bartender at the Linebacker Lounge in South Bend. At one time he also did construction work. Matthew was an over the top devoted fan of Eric Church, an avid member of the Church Choir. He enjoyed fishing, especially with his buddy, Aaron Davis. He also loved spending time with friends and family around the campfire.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Edward and Paula Walsh, Sr. of Granger; his brother, Edward and Stacy Walsh, Jr. of Dowagiac; his sister, Samantha (Lance) Walsh of Granger; three nieces and one nephew, Allyson, Katie, Brandon and Brittney; one great nephew, Brenden; and “just a couple Walsh’s doin’ Walsh things”, Mike Sult and William Walsh.
Matthew’s family would like to express special thanks to Aaron and Liz.
A time of visitation will be held from 2 – 5 pm on Saturday, July 20, in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 West 3rd Street, Mishawaka.
An informal time of sharing memories will begin at 4:30 pm on Saturday.
