Minnie “Ann” Johnson, 97, of Mishawaka, and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away Friday evening, April 11, 2014, in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Ann was born January 14, 1917 in Terre Haute, a daughter of the late John and Minnie Dora (Graiff) Mancourt. She lived most of her life in Terre Haute before moving to the Mishawaka area in 2008 to live near her son.
Ann was a homemaker and enjoyed making crafts and loved chocolate and was very fond of dogs.
On August 23, 1946 she married William Isaac Johnson and he preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Phillips; two brothers, Charles and James Mancourt; and an infant brother, Edward.
Ann’s surviving family includes her son, Kit (Barbara) Johnson of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, Thaddius (Amanda), Amy, Laura, Sarah and Mark Johnson; three great grandchildren, Haley, Jacob and Isaiah Johnson; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, April 22, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Terre Haute. A private family visitation took place in Mishawaka.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Arrangements are under the care of Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka.
