Patricia Ann Hillebrand, 72, of Mishawaka, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, September 9, 2015.
Pat was born November 28, 1942 in South Bend where she grew up and graduated from Central High School.
On May 2, 1964, Pat married Fredric J. Hillebrand in Holy Cross Catholic Church in South Bend. They lived in South Bend and later moved to Osceola. Pat and Fred lived in Florida for several years before returning to the area, settling in Mishawaka in 1998.
Pat was employed in various positions with 1st Source Bank for nearly 40 years and was Personal Banking Officer of the Osceola Branch and a Vice President of the bank. In 1988, during her time in Osceola, she was chosen as the Honorary Mayor and was given the key to the town and was honored in the Osceola Memorial Day Parade. She was a member of the 1st Source Women’s Club and at one time belonged to the Mishawaka Chapter of Business & Professional Women.
Pat was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was an officer in the church’s Rosary Society.
Pat’s greatest passion was in volunteerism. She was a devoted member of The Christ Child Society where she served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer.
Pat was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Harlozinski, Sr.
Pat’s surviving family includes her husband of 51 years, Fred; two daughters, Montana Autumn Spencer of Indianapolis and Laura Hillebrand Bobbitt of Lancaster, Ohio; Pat’s mother, Valeria Harlozinski of South Bend; two sisters, Sharon Harlozinski of South Bend and Barbara (Francis) Skubiszewski of South Bend; a brother, Stanley (Mary Ann) Harlozinski, Jr., of South Bend; an aunt, Veronica Pawlak of South Bend; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and Pat’s granddog, Max.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 14, at 10 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Terry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
Friends may spend time with Pat’s family Sunday, September 13, from 2 - 6 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka. The Rosary will be prayed at 5 pm followed by a time of sharing memories.
