Ruth Louise (Sheibley) Miller, of Ottawa, Canada and formerly of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2013 in Ottawa in her 95th year.
“Louise†was born May 12, 1918 in Mishawaka, to Lowell “Clem†Sheibley and Helena (Wiekamp) Sheibley Deethardt.
Louise graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1936. During World War II, on November 30, 1944, in South Bend, Louise married William Rosewarne Miller, the son of Carlton and Hazel Miller, long-time residents of Mishawaka. William was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Louise is survived by four half-brothers, John, Bill, Philip and Paul Deethardt. She is also survived by daughters, Mary Louise Smith (Fred), Margaret Miller (John Martyn), Cathleen Kalin (Neil) and Ann Hutchings (Brad); her loving grandchildren, Marna, Karan Carlucci (Mario) and Mary Jean Smith (Kate Soles), Sarah, Matthew (Kristen), Andrew (Alana) Landry, Alana Vaughn (Nick Olmstead), Josh (Amy), Rachel and Wade Kalin; as well as her great grandchildren, Josephina, Andrea and Bianca Carlucci, Eliot Smith, Jonah and Elodie Bonhomme, Julia, Addison and Charlotte Kalin, Helena, Sydney and Cameron Vaughan.
A graveside service and burial of her cremains will be at 9:30 am Saturday, June 28, at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
Arrangements are under the care of Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, Mishawaka.
