Rae Ann Williams, age 54, passed away surrounded by her family at her home in South Bend on Monday, May 30, 2022.  Rae Ann was born August 13, 1967 in South Bend, Indiana to Raymond and Jessie (Bilinski) Stoddard.  She was a graduate of Mishawaka High School, class of 1985 and furthered her education at Davenport College in South Bend.  On June 11, 2001, she married David Roy Williams in Mishawaka.

David survives, along with her children, Brandon (Mindy) Wilson, Nick (Corrina Imus) Wilson, and Rylee (Mikeala) Wilson, all of South Bend, and her step-children Megan Williams of Mishawaka and Brandon (Tracy Gantt) Williams of Elkhart.  Her mother, Jessie Stoddard of Mishawaka and her siblings Vickie Narkawicz of Granger, Jim (Chris) Grubbs of Mishawaka, and Amy Paturalski of South Bend survive as well.  Also surviving are her grandchildren Haley, Clark, Chloe, Oliver and Eli Wilson, Lillian, Ethan, and Zeke Williams, and Zaiden Dawson, along with her dogs Snickers and Boots, and her "grand-dogs” Rocko, Casper, and Kofi.  Her father, Raymond Stoddard preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her dogs Andy and Rudy.

For a short time prior to her career in child care, Rae Ann worked at the South Bend Clinic as a registration operator. Rae Ann was later employed for many years in child care with ABC Learn and Play of Mishawaka.  Her care and compassion for the children she was entrusted with made each child feel special in his or her own way.  The parents and children of ABC considered Rae Ann as their own family and loved her immensely.

In her spare time, Rae Ann and David enjoyed working together in their yard and planting flowers, shopping, visiting St. Joseph, Michigan for her favorite pizza from Silver Beach Pizza and visiting casinos around the area.  She also loved rooting for the Chicago White Sox and going to games with her husband.  Rae Ann will also be remembered for her extensive collection of “Snoopy” memorabilia she collected over many years.

In her memory, donations may be made to Traditions Hospice for help given to the Williams family during Rae Ann’s time of need. The Williams family would like to thank Chaplain Bob, Alicia, Lillian, Rebecca, Gary and Colin for their compassion and care with their precious wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandma, Rae Ann.
