Randy Robinson

Randy L. Robinson, 57, of South Bend, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Center for Hospice Care - Raclin House in Mishawaka.

Randy was born January 21, 1965 in Madison, Indiana, to the late Hubert and Norma Jean (Scranton) Robinson. He was one of six children and the family moved to Florida in the 1960’s where he attended Hudson High School. When he was 16 years old, he moved to Amarillo, Texas for two years before returning to Florida.

Randy loved cars and working on them. In Florida, he was a mechanic at a gas station for quite some time and also worked in the restaurant business. He loved to cook and grill. Some of his hobbies included building things, gardening, antiquing and he was an avid Notre Dame Football fan and enjoyed watching their games.

There wasn’t much that Randy couldn’t do. He always tried his best and liked helping those in need. He was a great brother and friend. Randy was a partner to Rick for twenty years. They were good for each other and worked well together. Randy had a great sense of humor and was always telling jokes and making others laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, especially his sense of humor.

Randy’s surviving family includes his life partner, Rick Mitchell of South Bend; siblings, Dolores Robinson of Goshen, Pamela Henderson of Goshen, Robbie Robinson of Grand Junction, CO, Tammy Mosier of South Bend, and Timmy Robinson of Pinellas Park, Florida; and nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday, March 22, at Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka. A Time of Remembrance will begin at 8 pm. Cremation will follow.

Memorial donations are suggested to the funeral home to assist with expenses
