Robert “Bob” Bernard Willing, 81, of Crystal Falls, MI passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, in Wentzville, MO. Robert was born in Racine, WI to the late Bernard and Pearl (nee: Bertrand) Willing.
In May 1964, Robert married the love of his life, Ann Marie Kronewitter of Mishawaka, IN.
Bob attended St. Joseph’s Grade School (Racine), St. John’s School (Racine), St. Catherine’s High School (Racine), Rock Valley College (Rockford, IL), earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Cardinal Stritch College (Milwaukee, WI), and his Master’s from Milwaukee School of Engineering (Milwaukee, WI). After high school he proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy before entering the work force. He worked as a quality control engineer for RCA, Channel Master, Clinton Electronics, Wells Garner, and Culligan International where he was a director of International Quality Control.
Bob was a devout Catholic and an overachiever who was very dedicated to his wife and children. He enjoyed fishing, was a very talented craftsman - building furniture, carving, and built a dream home in the UP; problem solver; and had a creative and inventive mind.
Bob is survived by his loving wife (deceased 2021) of 55 years and his loving children Mariann (Jeff) Gallun, Michael (Noriko) Willing, Theresa Pollack, and Steven (Amie) Willing. He is further survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sam and Cecelia (nee: Kronewitter) Kramer; grandchildren, Michael Gallun, Timothy Willing, Astin and Evan Pollack, and Drew, Abby, Mason, and Megan Willing, as well as a niece, nephews, great-nieces, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Lauretta (nee: Sammet) Kronewitter of Mishawaka, IN, his parents and sister, Beatrice Willing of Racine, WI.
A joint Mass of Christian Burial for Bob and his wife, Ann will be celebrated at 11:00 am EST on Friday, February 11, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka. Burial will follow in St Joseph Cemetery, Mishawaka. Military Honors will be by American Legion Post #284.
Memorials may be made in Robert’s name to American Parkinson Disease Association.
