Msgt (Ret.) Roy C. Mullins, 66, of South Bend, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017, surrounded by family at Memorial Hospital.

Roy was born April 11, 1950 in Tazewell, Virginia, the son of the late Dock Crate and Estelle Rebecca (Altizer) Mullins. He grew up in St. Augustine, Florida and was a 1969 graduate of St. Augustine High School. Eager to serve his country, Roy joined the United States Marine Corps in 1972 and served until 1994, including Desert Shield/Storm 1990-91. He spent his retired years enjoying his grandchildren and was an avid Florida State fan.
