Sharon Rose Warren, 76, of Osceola, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 31, 2015, in Elkhart Hospice House.

Sharon was born May 10, 1939 in South Bend, a daughter of the late Andrew and Lucy (O’Hara) Hullinger. She grew up in South Bend and was a 1957 graduate of John Adams High School. She lived in the South Bend / Mishawaka / Osceola area her entire life.

Sharon was employed for many years at Morrow’s Restaurant in South Bend and attended the Wesleyan Church in Mishawaka. Sharon loved animals and especially her dog, Rudie, who she said God sent to her. She also liked country music, watching the Cubs, working in her yard and she is remembered for being a great cook. Above all, Sharon’s family was the center of her life.

On March 15, 1958, Sharon married Robert V. Warren and he preceded her in death in 1974. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Charles “Red” Hullinger, Art Hullinger, Kenny Hullinger and Harold Hullinger; and sisters, Virginia Hullinger, Silvia Hullinger and Beverly Bryant.

Sharon’s surviving family includes five children, Rick, Scott, Craig, Todd and Shannon Warren; grandchildren, Shawn Custard, Scotty McDonald, Angela, Paige, Scotty and Courtney Warren, Jennifer (Floyd) Dobsen; several great grandchildren; a sister, Joan (Ernie) Whitaker; a niece and nephew she was close to, Cheryl Floyd and James Caton; and she is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Following Sharon’s wishes there will be no formal services. Her family is planning a gathering at a later date to honor and celebrate her life.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Sharon’s family to assist with celebration of life expenses. Assistance with memorial contributions is available through the funeral home.
