Shirley Ann Claeys

Shirley Ann Claeys, 80, of South Bend, passed away Sunday evening, April 7, 2013, in Golden Living Center - Fountainview, Mishawaka.
Shirley was born April 30, 1932 in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late Frank and Lola (Blakeman) Claeys. She grew up in South Bend where she spent most of her life.
Shirley enjoyed going with her parents to Florida. She also liked watching television including movies and the Chicago Cubs and she enjoyed painting by numbers. Shirley was particularly fond of cats and shared her life with several over the years.
Shirley is survived by her brother and his wife, Frank and Lois Claeys of Osceola; two nephews, John Claeys and Bill (Lori) Claeys; two nieces, Nancy (Todd) Metzer and Peggy (Dan) Orosz; two great nephews; two great nieces; and one great-great nephew.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Marylouise.
Services honoring Shirley’s life will be held Wednesday, April 10, at 2 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with Pastor Bob Vale officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
Friends may spend time with Shirley’s family Wednesday from 1 - 2 pm in the funeral home.
