Steven J. Bowering

Steven J. Bowering, 58, of Osceola, passed away at home on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
Steve was born March 7, 1964 in South Bend to Victor and Carolyn (Wolfe) Bowering. He grew up South Bend and lived in the area most of his life. At one time he owned and operated Bowering’s Dry Wall, a family business, and he also worked in another family business, Pioneer Construction. Steve was later employed in manufacturing. He greatly enjoyed music and playing his guitar. Steve loved the outdoors and liked fishing. He also was talented in building things.
Steve is survived by his two sons, Tyler Bowering of Granger and Joshua Bowering of Mishawaka; his mother, Carolyn DeBruyne of Mishawaka; two sisters, Dawn Mercer of Colorado and Lynette (Daniel) Ciula of Osceola; and one grandchild, Kingston Bowering.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Victor Bowering; and his brother, Mark Mercer.
Steve will be buried privately at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. There will be no formal services.
Arrangements are under the care of Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, Mishawaka.
