Suzanne Darlene Murrieta Profile Photo

Suzanne Darlene Murrieta, age 71 of South Bend, passed peacefully from this world with her family by her side on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Hellenic Living Center of Mishawaka.  Suzanne was born August 2, 1951 in Gardena, California to the late John and Gloria (Peru) Murrieta.

Surviving are her children Darlene Nagaoka of Portland, Oregon, Shiela Nagaoka-Symonds of Great Falls, Montana, and Clint Dietel of South Bend, Indiana.  Surviving as well are 5 grandchildren; Cassandra, Brittani, Arbor, Morgan and Greyson and 4 great-grandchildren; Ethan, Jude, Prudence, and Declan.  Suzanne is also survived by her siblings Gloria McConnel of Tri-Cities, Washington, Gene Murrieta of Tahoe, Utah, John Murrieta of Cedar Edge, Colorado, and Catherine Murrieta.  Her sister, Patricia Murrieta, preceded her in death.

A private family viewing was held and cremation has taken place.   Suzanne’s family asks that you each remember her in your own special way.

Suzanne was employed for many years with the Washington State Laborers Union where she worked all across the State with road crews and highway construction. In her spare time, she enjoyed being outdoors, camping all across the State of Washington and spending time with her friends in the Motorcycle Clubs.

She will be remembered as a “free spirit” who lived life on her own terms. Her spunky attitude and love for her children will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Suzanne was a founding member of the National Motorcycle Riders Memorial Association which provides a place where people can memorialize their friends, family, and loved ones who had a passion for riding motorcycles. In her memory, donations may be made to the NMRM online at https://nmrm.wildapricot.org/
