Timothy P. O’Reilly, 56, of Mishawaka, passed away Sunday morning, January 15, 2012, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Tim was born April 23, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in the Niles area and graduated from Brandywine High School. He served his country in the US Air Force from 1982 - 1986.
Tim was employed in machine maintenance at area factories. He also worked as a computer programmer, something he greatly enjoyed. Over the years, Tim loved being a sound technician for numerous bands and traveled extensively with this work.
Tim was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. Tim also liked bicycling and working on his cars. He was a NASCAR fan and Jeff Gordon was his favorite driver.
Tim’s surviving family includes his two daughters, Christine (Tom Pratt) O’Reilly of Chicago and Brittany (Josh Black) O’Reilly of Mishawaka; two grandchildren, Quinlan and Brady Black; his mother, Dorothy Manning of Naples, Florida; his former wife, Terri (Rininger) O’Bryan of Mishawaka; his two brothers, Michael (Kathy) O’Reilly of Middlebury and Terry (Brenda) O’Reilly of Elyria, Ohio; and his sister, Carrie O’Reilly of Naples, Florida.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. O’Reilly.
A private family burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Military honors will be provided by the VFW #360 / American Legion #161 Burial Squad.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Legion. Assistance with memorials is available through the funeral home.
