William Ray (Bill) Gamble passed away peacefully Friday February 7, 2025, with his wife and children surrounding him. He was born July 1, 1957, to Chester and Leoka Gamble in South Bend, Indiana.

When he was 7 years old, he moved with his family to the dairy farm in New Carlisle where he grew up. On March 20th, 1981, he married Susan Truyaert. On this same farm they raised their own family and watched their children and now their grandchildren grow and work together.

Bill was a man of humility and kindness. Though reserved in public, his sharp sense of humor and sarcasm were always present when he was with his family. He passed this sense of humor onto his kids, a wonderful gift through this hard time.

He thoroughly enjoyed mowing grass, hunting mushrooms, a good game on tv, and especially fishing with his brother and friend. A meaningful milestone in his journey of faith, Bill was baptized on May 10, 2024.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susie, and their children Josh (Kelsey) Gamble of New Carlisle, Caitlin (Matt) Bell of Indianapolis, Tim (Laura) Gamble of New Carlisle, Laura (Cody) Koeppen of Valparaiso and Mary (Johannes) Olind of Rolling Prairie. Also surviving are his mother Leoka ”Sue” Gamble, Gary (Pat) Gamble, Marsha (Lewie) Oldham, Deb Gamble, Pam (Greg) Thompson, and sister-in-law Cindy Gamble. He was a proud Grandpa of 18 grandchildren. Harrison, Reese and Caleb Gamble, Mitchell, Adara, and Scarlett Bell, Abby, Josie, Leah, Elaina and Willa Gamble, Marley, Tyler, Heidi, Sadie and Astrid Koeppen, Elise Ward and Simon Olind. Bill was preceded in death by his father Chester Gamble, his youngest brother Doug, and older brother Bob.
